Position Overview

Kyndryl is in search of a dedicated Topic Leader specializing in Offensive Security, with a strong emphasis on Mainframe and Cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role is pivotal as the primary subject matter expert within a global team focused on securing and evaluating intricate computing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Communication: Act as the central point of contact for all Mainframe and Cloud Security-related matters within the global offensive security team. Foster effective communication with team members across various regions, offering guidance and support on intricate security challenges and attack methodologies.
  • Development of Standards and Procedures: Create, document, and uphold comprehensive standards and procedures for the security of Mainframe and Cloud environments. Ensure these documents reflect the latest advancements in security practices and technologies.
  • Vulnerability Exploration: Actively seek out and investigate new vulnerabilities within Mainframe and Cloud platforms. Collaborate with internal teams and external security communities to share insights and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Conference Representation: Represent Kyndryl at various security conferences as a thought leader. Share insights, disseminate knowledge, and engage with the security community on topics pertinent to Mainframe and Cloud security.
  • Training and Mentorship: Conduct and facilitate training sessions for the internal offensive security team to enhance their expertise in Mainframe and Cloud security. Serve as a mentor to team members, aiding in the development of their technical and tactical skills.
  • Expert Consultation: Provide specialized advice and support to team members regarding complex attack strategies and security challenges. Assist in planning and executing simulated attacks to evaluate and fortify our defenses.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), OSEP (Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester), OSED (Offensive Security Exploit Developer).
  • Preferred Certification: OSCE3 (Offensive Security Certified Expert 3).
  • Education: A Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Extensive background in offensive security, particularly with Mainframe and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Proven ability to identify and address complex security vulnerabilities. Previous experience presenting at security conferences and leading educational initiatives.
  • Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and profound technical expertise in cybersecurity. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a global team. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
