Position Overview

Kyndryl is in search of a Topic Leader specializing in Offensive Security, with a particular emphasis on Mainframe and Cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role acts as the primary authority and subject matter expert within a global team focused on securing and assessing intricate computing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Communication: Act as the central point of contact for all issues pertaining to Mainframe and Cloud Security within the global offensive security team. Facilitate effective communication with team members across various regions, offering guidance and support on complex security challenges and attack methodologies.
  • Development of Standards and Procedures: Create, document, and maintain thorough standards and procedures for securing Mainframe and Cloud environments. Ensure these documents reflect the latest advancements in security practices and technologies.
  • Vulnerability Exploration: Actively seek out and investigate new vulnerabilities in Mainframe and Cloud platforms. Collaborate with both internal teams and external security communities to share insights and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Conference Representation: Represent Kyndryl at various security conferences as a thought leader. Share insights, disseminate knowledge, and engage with the security community on subjects related to Mainframe and Cloud security.
  • Training and Mentorship: Conduct and facilitate training sessions for the internal offensive security team to enhance their skills and knowledge in Mainframe and Cloud security. Serve as a mentor for team members, aiding in the development of their technical and tactical proficiencies.
  • Expert Consultation: Provide specialized advice and support to team members on intricate attack strategies and security challenges. Assist in the planning and execution of simulated attacks to evaluate and strengthen our defenses.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), OSEP (Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester), OSED (Offensive Security Exploit Developer).
  • Preferred Certification: OSCE3 (Offensive Security Certified Expert 3).
  • Education: A Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Extensive background in offensive security, particularly with Mainframe and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Proven ability to identify and mitigate complex security vulnerabilities. Previous experience presenting at security conferences and leading educational initiatives.
  • Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and deep technical expertise in cybersecurity. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
