Lead Security Strategist for Mainframe and Cloud

Position Overview

Kyndryl is on the lookout for a dedicated Topic Leader specializing in Offensive Security, with a strong emphasis on Mainframe and Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This pivotal role acts as the key liaison and authority within a global team focused on safeguarding and evaluating intricate computing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Communication: Act as the primary contact for all issues pertaining to Mainframe and Cloud Security within the global offensive security unit. Ensure effective communication with team members across various regions, offering guidance and support on intricate security challenges and attack methodologies.
  • Development of Standards and Procedures: Create, document, and uphold detailed standards and procedures for the protection of Mainframe and Cloud environments. Guarantee that these documents reflect the latest advancements in security practices and technologies.
  • Vulnerability Research: Actively seek out and investigate new vulnerabilities within Mainframe and Cloud platforms. Collaborate with internal teams and external security networks to share insights and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Conference Representation: Serve as a representative of Kyndryl at various security conferences, sharing expertise and engaging with the security community on Mainframe and Cloud security topics.
  • Training and Mentorship: Organize and lead training sessions for the internal offensive security team to bolster their skills and knowledge in Mainframe and Cloud security. Provide mentorship to team members, aiding in the enhancement of their technical and tactical capabilities.
  • Expert Consultation: Offer specialized advice and support to team members on complex attack strategies and security challenges. Assist in planning and executing simulated attacks to evaluate and fortify our defenses.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), OSEP (Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester), OSED (Offensive Security Exploit Developer).
  • Preferred Certification: OSCE3 (Offensive Security Certified Expert 3).
  • Education: A Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Extensive background in offensive security, particularly with Mainframe and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Proven ability to identify and address complex security vulnerabilities. Previous experience presenting at security conferences and leading educational sessions.
  • Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and profound technical expertise in cybersecurity. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a global team. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
