Position Overview

Kyndryl is in search of a dedicated Topic Leader specializing in Offensive Security, with a particular emphasis on Mainframe and Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role acts as the central point of contact and authority within a global team focused on securing and evaluating intricate computing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Communication: Act as the primary liaison for all aspects of Mainframe and Cloud Security within the global offensive security team. Ensure effective communication with team members across various regions, offering guidance and support on complex security challenges and attack methodologies.
  • Standards and Procedure Development: Create, document, and uphold detailed standards and procedures for securing Mainframe and Cloud environments. Guarantee that these documents reflect the latest security practices and technological advancements.
  • Vulnerability Research: Actively seek out and investigate new vulnerabilities within Mainframe and Cloud platforms. Collaborate with internal teams and external security communities to share insights and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Conference Representation: Represent Kyndryl at various security conferences as a thought leader. Share findings, disseminate knowledge, and engage with the security community on topics related to Mainframe and Cloud security.
  • Training and Mentorship: Conduct and lead training sessions for the internal offensive security team to enhance their expertise in Mainframe and Cloud security. Serve as a mentor for team members, aiding in the development of their technical and tactical skills.
  • Consultation: Provide expert guidance and support to team members on intricate attack strategies and security challenges. Assist in planning and executing simulated attacks to evaluate and strengthen our defenses.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), OSEP (Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester), OSED (Offensive Security Exploit Developer).
  • Preferred Certification: OSCE3 (Offensive Security Certified Expert 3).
  • Education: A Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Extensive background in offensive security, particularly with Mainframe and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Proven ability to identify and mitigate complex security vulnerabilities. Previous experience presenting at security conferences and leading educational sessions.
  • Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and profound technical expertise in cybersecurity. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a global team. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
