About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to join our Italian team at Too Good To Go, a social impact company dedicated to fighting food waste. As a Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of our business in Italy by leading a team of Key Account Managers in acquiring and growing partnerships with prominent retailers in the food and beverage industry, focusing specifically on supermarkets and Ho.Re.Ca sector.

Your Mission

Your primary responsibility will be to inspire and motivate a team of Key Account Managers to achieve their goals and objectives, while identifying and researching new opportunities, building rapport with stakeholders, and ultimately signing new key accounts to a partnership with Too Good To Go. You will also be responsible for managing the team's performance, providing feedback and development opportunities, and ensuring the team's overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 5+ Key Account Managers in the Supermarket and Ho.Re.Ca sector, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their success.
  • Identify key performance drivers and set up the right team structures and processes for exponential growth, while defining the key topics to be tackled first to ensure simplicity.
  • Work closely with the Key Account Managers to roll out best practices, customize local customer strategies, and facilitate conversion.
  • Contribute to the Key Account strategy and support international cooperation across global key chain opportunities.
  • Build reports to track performance, identify trends, create financial projections, and forecasts for internal planning and commercial proposals.
  • Pitch and present high-quality, professional presentations to potential partners, confidently speaking about the business and food waste proposition.
  • Assist in annual forecasting with the Head of Key Account and the Country Director, working through realistic scenarios to drive team performance and production.
  • Support roll-outs, working with the team and the retailer to plan, schedule, and execute store rollouts at scale.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in building and guiding a team in a commercial environment, e.g., Sales or Key Account Management.
  • Ability to train and motivate a team, with a solid commercial background working in prominent brands in the Supermarket and Ho.Re.Ca sector.
  • Business development and Account Management experience, demonstrating an ability to establish, nurture, and win leads by selling a proposition to senior stakeholders.
  • Performance-oriented, thriving in a role with freedom and accountability for results, and enjoying setting ambitious goals for the team.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to build structures and processes that meet business needs.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to lead negotiations.
  • Full professional proficiency in Italian and English.
  • Planning and project management skills to plan and project manage effectively throughout the Key Account acquisition and retention process.
  • CRM & Data Analysis knowledge to use raw data to create performance reports and projections to identify and understand trends, opportunities, and issues.
