As a Clinical Support Engineer specializing in Electrophysiology (EP) at Abbott, you will play a crucial role in delivering expert guidance and support regarding the Abbott EP product range within your designated region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer specialized clinical advice, training, and assistance on the application of all EP products during electrophysiological procedures in hospital settings (catheter labs).
  • Stay informed about the latest therapies and technologies in the field, including competitor offerings, while understanding the dynamics of the healthcare market.
  • Address common customer inquiries and tackle unexpected requests with promptness and a proactive approach.
  • Provide technical assistance to the EP sales team; maintain open communication regarding product placement and complex case support, while discussing the full range of Abbott EP offerings with healthcare professionals.
  • Recognize the business objectives of both internal and external stakeholders, while being aware of sales targets and market trends.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Preferably, experience in electrophysiology or cardiac rhythm management in a clinical or industry setting.
  • Familiarity with catheter lab and operating room protocols, along with a solid understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on active listening and effective questioning.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time) and the ability to work independently, adapting your schedule to the demands of procedures.
