Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Assistant to join our team in supporting an important client operating in the Energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing health, safety, and environmental processes, procedures, and guidelines on the construction site, including identifying risks and training employees on how to handle hazardous materials or situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and develop plans to eliminate them.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is in good condition and available for use by all employees.
  • Develop emergency response plans for natural disasters, fire risks, chemical spills, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of accidents and injuries to track trends and improve safety measures.
  • Collaborate with the HSE Manager to ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations.
  • Monitor the work environment to ensure it is safe for employees to work.
  • Conduct accident investigations to determine causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the HSE Manager with all safety and environmental matters.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Hygiene, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with specialization training in safety, environment, and health or environmental sciences.
  • Construction site experience is required.
  • Previous experience in the role and knowledge of industry standards/guidelines.
  • Fluent English and Italian.
