Position Overview

As a Service Technician, you will deliver expert technical assistance for our products, applications, and service solutions to clients.

In scenarios where a team is deployed at a client's location, one individual will assume the role of site leader, tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Kardex personnel, subcontractors, and third-party associates involved in Kardex operations.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between Kardex Remstar and the client, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with local regulations and our core values.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on Kardex systems and solutions.
  • Complete assignments promptly while adhering to established quality standards.
  • Provide training to customers (Operator, Health & Safety, Maintenance, etc.).
  • Identify and generate new business leads.
  • Manage administrative tasks (reporting, personal spare parts inventory, etc.).
  • Offer remote diagnostics through phone or remote connection.
  • Provide on-call support to clients.
  • Perform PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Engage in basic software troubleshooting.
  • Understand, promote, and advise on Kardex Remstar products and services.

Your Qualifications

Education/Training

  • Strong general educational background.
  • Degree or training in Mechanics, Electronics, or Electrical fields.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience.

Professional Experience

  • Proven experience in field customer service.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic techniques.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Technical, mechanical, or electronic expertise.
  • Experience in interfacing and integrating mechatronic systems with software solutions such as warehouse management and ERP.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Field bus, Ethernet, etc.).
  • Experience with onsite health and safety practices.
