About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Market Access Director to join our team at Sobi. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing market access strategies to ensure our innovative therapies reach patients in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute market access strategies to gain and maintain access to our therapies in the Italian market and support the MAG-C Region.
    • Collaborate with the Global Value Access team to ensure alignment on access strategy and pricing policies.
    • Develop a holistic local market access strategy, integrating key levers such as pricing, clinical and economic evidence, policy shaping, and multi-stakeholder engagement.
    • Negotiate with health authorities to secure pricing and access conditions for our portfolio drugs.
    • Monitor the market access and health policy environment, identifying new trends and disseminating strategic, operational, and financial implications.
  • Engagement and Networking
    • Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with institutions and payers at the national and regional level.
    • Participate in networking groups to understand needs and define possible solutions related to access, sustainability, or organizational topics.
    • Collaborate with the Commercial and Clinical function to include patients' voices in the access pathway.
  • Team and Internal Environment
    • Unleash the potential of the team, ensuring continuous support and development.
    • Create a feedback and growth mindset culture, analyzing critical situations and defining appropriate actions and CSFs/KPIs.

Main Goals

  • Gain access to our therapies in the target place in therapy and approved price corridor.
  • Develop and share strategies to support the economic value of our portfolio in the local market and mitigate access barriers.
  • Grow the access team to increase Sobi's reputation with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in market access positions.
  • Extensive knowledge of pricing and reimbursement processes, tenders, HEOR modeling, and pricing structures.
  • Soft skills, including strategic thinking, networking, leadership, and excellent communication skills.
