Join Our Team as an Underwriter in Milan

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team in Milan, Italy. As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in creating a frictionless signup journey for new merchants, ensuring they meet Dojo's risk appetite.

Our Underwriting team is responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of prospective customers, identifying and mitigating potential financial crime risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a skilled Underwriter with a deep understanding of the Italian market and a proven track record in financial analysis and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of prospective Italian clients
  • Assess new customer applications and requests for additional products/services
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of prospective customers
  • Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) verification steps
  • Understand underlying acquiring risks in complex propositions
  • Proactively engage with commercial teams and clients to maximise onboarding opportunities
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Financial Crime, Legal and other Risk teams
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an underwriting or credit risk role within a financial institution
  • Strong financial analysis skills and a deep understanding of the Italian market
  • Business fluency in English and Italian
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Motivation to grow and develop your skills
