Are you prepared to take on a rewarding career challenge? We are currently looking for a Service Business Controller, EEM to join the Business Controlling Finance team at KONE, focusing on the Eastern Europe and Mediterranean regions. This role encompasses 16 countries across Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, Czechia, the Balkans, Greece, Cyprus, and Israel. This position provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact as a trusted business partner within the evolving Service division at KONE.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Business Partnership: Engaging with a strong outside-in perspective to comprehend the business logic and interdependencies among key operational processes, relationships, and metrics.
  • Financial Guidance: Acting as a finance business partner to the Service business line, delivering actionable insights and guiding commercial decisions to foster profitable growth.
  • Forward-Looking Analysis: Moving beyond standard actuals to focus on business development, influencing stakeholders in decision-making related to pricing and productivity.
  • Collaboration with Local Finance: Supporting traditional controlling functions such as budgeting, timely and accurate month-end closing, actual results reporting (including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow), and forecast preparation with variance analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhancing and simplifying processes while automating tasks across 16 countries.
  • Strategic Planning Support: Assisting in long-term planning efforts for the business line.
  • Advisory Role: Providing guidance and support to the finance and business community on reporting and accounting issues.

What we expect from you:

  • Over 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • A self-motivated and results-oriented individual with project management capabilities.
  • The ability to influence and drive process improvements, coupled with effective communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, demonstrating the capacity to integrate key commercial and financial drivers with an understanding of core business opportunities and limitations.
