Your impact on the organization
- This role focuses on Financial Lines, presenting an excellent opportunity to cultivate your skills in managing and investigating complex claims. The objective is to address legitimate claims through a proactive, best practice approach, adhering to AIG's quality standards – you will actively promote and exemplify the principles of 'Treating Customers Fairly' in claims management.
- You will also consistently identify and assess suspect or fraudulent claims, handling such cases in accordance with our clear guidelines.
- Your responsibilities will involve regular interaction with internal stakeholders and brokers, as well as (medical) experts, clients' attorneys, victims, or their legal representatives. Building effective relationships with both internal and external customers will be key, as you serve as a point of referral.
- This position offers the chance to expand your experience by supporting Team Managers and stepping in during their absence. For instance, you will assist in monitoring market and industry practices in claims management.
- Moreover, you can leverage the claims experience you acquire to contribute to product enhancements in collaboration with underwriting colleagues.
Qualifications for success
- In-depth knowledge of legal, regulatory, and litigation/procedural requirements for Financial Lines.
- Specialized knowledge of technical claims topics related to Financial Lines.
- Some experience in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration is preferred.
- Proficiency in policy language, enabling accurate and consistent interpretation of policy wording.
- Ability to think laterally and develop innovative solutions to improve operational practices.
- Strong skills in communication, time management, administration, and report writing.
