Project Overview: The RAISE initiative, focusing on "Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment", is a significant project funded by the Ministry of University and Research. This project aims to foster innovation ecosystems and establish local leaders in research and development.

Contract Details: This is a full-time position with a fixed-term contract.

Location: The position is based in Genoa.

About Us: At the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), we are dedicated to advancing human-centered science and technology to address critical societal challenges. Our headquarters in Genoa collaborates closely with 11 other centers across Italy and two international outstations. We emphasize excellence in both fundamental and applied research across various disciplines, including neuroscience, robotics, and nanotechnology.

Your Role: The Innovation and Development Office, part of the Technology Transfer Directorate, is looking for two Junior Project Managers. These individuals will play a vital role in planning, managing, and executing activities essential for the successful delivery of the RAISE project. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the technology transfer center coordinator in project activities.
  • Supporting Principal Investigators and managers in coordinating the consortium and ensuring adherence to the project timeline and objectives.
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of operational plans and tasks.
  • Monitoring scientific, technical, and financial progress, proposing adjustments as necessary.
  • Overseeing communication and dissemination efforts to develop training and reporting materials.
  • Managing the exploitation plan and activities to foster an acceleration and incubation system.
  • Assisting in data management planning and supervising related activities.
  • Facilitating relations with consortium members and stakeholders.
  • Collecting and submitting technical and financial reports to the funding authority.
  • Preparing for meetings, including agenda setting and minutes documentation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in scientific disciplines, economics, management, or a related field.
  • Experience in economic-financial project planning.
  • Background in strategy consulting.
  • Proficiency in reporting and data analysis.
  • Collaborative approach with stakeholders.
  • Innovative mindset and creativity.
  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with standard IT software, including Word and Excel.

Additional Skills:

  • An MBA or a Master's in Innovation is advantageous.
  • Competence in information research.
  • Excellent communication skills.
