About the Role

As a Sales Specialist at TD SYNNEX, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by planning outbound calls to customers and having general conversations around solutions and products. Your goal will be to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively develop relationships with key internal and external contacts
  • Engage in active inside selling by using various sources to gain information on customers and utilize this to maximize call potential and outcomes
  • Manage customer backorders along with specialist knowledge and engage in 'intelligent project fishing'
  • Manage project end-to-end or hand over to pre-sales for technical requirements
  • Provide, sell, and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers, and promotions
  • Ensure TD SYNNEX maintains service level agreements with customers
  • Attainment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as customer engagement
  • Develop partner relationships (including account planning, cross-selling, etc.)
  • Identify project opportunities and engage with Business Development Managers (BDMs) if specific product/vendor knowledge is required
  • Drive sales of specific products/vendors if specific knowledge is required
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations (SMB Managed (AS), SP/E-Var/SI segment, Specialists (IBM), entire AS BUs)
  • Generate and own a pipeline of deals in TD SYNNEX's CRM system, which is regularly reviewed and updated, and ensure active closure of opportunities
  • Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Numerate with good attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner and Effective Communication Skills
  • Priority management and planning skills
  • Strive to achieve set targets
  • Understands Sales Process
  • Ideal candidates will have previous experience of IT systems for quotation, order entry, CRMIT industry knowledge would be desirable but not essential
