Position Overview

This internship opportunity is designed for recent graduates or thesis students eager to enhance their skills and gain practical experience in a forward-thinking environment.

As a member of the Operations Department, you will engage in a project focused on the internal testing procedures of converting lines. The primary goal of this initiative is to implement standardized statistical methodologies for evaluating data related to the machinery's internal testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire knowledge of the fundamental principles governing converting lines and the internal testing procedures, alongside an understanding of production area processes.
  • Analyze and document the existing internal testing protocols, including current documentation and reporting practices.
  • Collaborate with various colleagues from Production and Operations, including the testing team, technical office, standardization, project management, and digital teams.
  • Identify and evaluate product quality metrics, as well as machine and component performance, to establish critical test analysis indicators.
  • Work alongside your mentor and team to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing the testing protocol by refining current analysis tools with standardized statistical methods for effective monitoring of internal testing.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for internal or customer use.
  • Learn and apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and work management tools (such as SAP, Minitab, etc.).
  • Experience an innovative manufacturing environment, interact with diverse roles, and understand the operations of a multinational corporation.

Candidate Profile
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Italian (C2) and proficient in English (B2-C1).

Preferred Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A recent degree or be a master's student in Engineering, ideally in Mechanical, Automation, Electronics, Management, or related fields.
  • Technical acumen in mechanics, including the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • A solid foundation and interest in statistics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking skills.

Educational Background

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in relevant engineering disciplines, including Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
