Aliaxis stands as a global leader in the provision of innovative plastic piping systems, valves, and fittings. With a presence in over 40 countries and a workforce exceeding 100, we operate through 100 production and distribution units. In Italy, we employ more than 700 individuals across five production facilities. Our prominent local brands, including FIP, REDI, ASTORE, ISEA, and LARETER, deliver products across various sectors such as construction, infrastructure, industry, and agriculture.

We are seeking a Production Planning Specialist who will report directly to the Planning Manager Italy. This role will be based at one of our production sites and will involve close collaboration with production managers, shift leaders, and supply chain teams to develop and oversee production schedules that align with capacity, required timelines, and the availability of machinery and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop production workflows by estimating time, resources, and machinery usage, subsequently creating daily production schedules.
  • Track actual production progress against planned schedules, implementing necessary corrective measures while coordinating teams and managing shifts in collaboration with shift leaders and production managers.
  • Assess the manpower, equipment, and raw materials required to meet production demands, assigning personnel to specific production tasks.
  • Compile and analyze production efficiency statistics (KPIs) to identify opportunities for process improvement and effective planning.
  • Prioritize and organize operations to maximize performance and minimize delays.
  • Ensure timely job completion within budget constraints.
  • Address any issues that arise to minimize disruption to production.
  • Gather output data (such as finished product counts and defect rates) and prepare performance reports.
  • Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other teams.
  • Engage in the optimization of production processes.

Required Competencies:

  • A degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Management Engineering) is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement is expected.
  • A results-driven and proactive mindset is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
