Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst position is a vital part of our Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) division, which collaborates closely with various teams within the Group Finance function, including Tax, Treasury, and Corporate Banking. The FP&A team is structured around two primary dimensions: geographical performance and functional expertise, ensuring a robust partnership with different business units.

Position Summary

This role is situated within the Group FP&A Supply Chain team, which works in tandem with the Global Supply Chain (GSC) leadership and teams to enhance financial processes and assess business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal financial advisor to the Global NPR Supply Chain Procurement Directors, assisting the Group FP&A Manager in Procurement.
  • Actively identify potential cost savings and opportunities to meet financial targets.
  • Develop new performance measurement models and procedures for NPR Productivity initiatives.
  • Establish operational KPIs and monitor them for NPR Productivity Projects.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial data and provide insightful analysis of business trends through variance assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive global reports that deliver valuable insights to support Procurement management decisions.
  • Assist NPR Procurement in contract management through detailed analysis, continuously tracking cost impacts and variations.

Key Relationships

  • Internal: Collaborate with the Global Procurement team, regional and local FP&A teams, and other stakeholders within the Group FP&A function.
  • External: Engage with external consultants and service providers.

Required Experience

  • Background in consumer goods industries is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and key performance indicators in supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering results within deadlines.
  • Experience in a matrix organizational structure.

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics or Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
  • Advanced skills in Excel are required.

Skills and Competencies

  • Functional: Expertise in financial planning and reporting techniques, including KPI management in the supply chain domain.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a deep understanding of FMCG P&L structures and COGS.
  • Knowledge of business processes within the FMCG sector.
  • Familiarity with SAP, BI/BW, and BPC is a plus.
