Overview:

Hotel Cipriani, a distinguished property within the Belmond portfolio, is seeking a skilled Bar Manager to enhance guest experiences at Bar Gabbiano, a renowned venue for social gatherings in Venice.

Role Summary:

The Bar Manager will report directly to the Executive Assistant Manager overseeing Food & Beverage operations and will be accountable for the daily management of Bar Gabbiano, focusing on surpassing targets related to guest satisfaction, quality standards, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of bar operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, health and safety compliance, license management, inventory oversight, supplier negotiations, menu innovation, and budget preparation.
  • Ensure the bar is structured and equipped to meet strategic goals and performance targets.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance guest experiences and meet quality assurance standards.
  • Revitalize the bar menu, respecting the establishment's heritage while introducing innovative beverage concepts.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the bar team to deliver outstanding service.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the department.
  • Assist in the formulation of the bar's budget.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to guarantee exceptional service delivery.
  • Support various projects across the organization as needed.
  • Ensure all licenses are current and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, promptly reporting any incidents or hazards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a luxury bar setting as a Head Barman/Head Barlady or Bar Manager.
  • International experience is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of premium spirits and wines.
  • Strong grasp of both classic and contemporary cocktail recipes and their historical context.
  • Exemplary people management skills to effectively lead and inspire the bar team.
  • Positive, adaptable, and possessing excellent communication abilities.
  • Adept at multitasking and thriving under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Fluent in both Italian and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
