Italy Marine Consulting Project Manager

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Marine Consulting Project Manager to join its team in Genova, Italy. As a key member of the Marine Consulting Division, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and ensuring their successful completion within defined deadlines, scope, and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple projects and clients concurrently, ensuring seamless coordination and effective resource allocation.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate and strategize assignments for the management of assigned projects, leveraging expertise and resources to drive business growth.
- Generate and distribute project-related documents, instructions, and reports, ensuring accurate and timely communication with stakeholders.
- Organize and manage the workload and schedules of field/technical personnel, ensuring comprehension and fulfillment of assignment requirements.
- Support field/technical personnel in carrying out their designated tasks, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
- Assess the performance of field/technical personnel, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate data entry into RINA systems, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
- Uphold compliance with RINA's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Management Systems throughout all assigned activities.
- Monitor project revenues and profitability, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with the Business Development department in commercial activities, driving business growth and expansion.
- Schedule and participate in meetings with clients, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- 3+ years of experience managing a team of people on projects of moderate size/complexity and/or multiple projects simultaneously, with a solid track record of successfully leading projects from initiation to completion on time, on budget, and within scope.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, including engineering software and project management tools.
- Engineering Knowledge: Proficiency in understanding engineering concepts and calculations, with the ability to collaborate with engineers and technical experts.
- Team Management: Proven experience in assembling and leading project teams, with demonstrated ability to assign tasks based on team members' skills, motivate the team, and manage them effectively.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and software, with familiarity with engineering software a plus.
- Prior experience in supervising newbuilding projects, energy transition within the shipping industry, conducting risk assessments, and understanding class rules and statutory regulations is beneficial.

Bachelor's Degree in Naval Engineering.
