Job Overview:

As a leading entity in the paperboard sector, we are seeking qualified individuals to become part of our Milan division in the role of:

Customer Service Specialist

The successful candidate will integrate into the Italian Team and manage a portfolio of B2B clients throughout the Order to Cash workflow. This role serves as a pivotal communication link between clients and various internal departments, including Production, Logistics, Accounting, and Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients through various communication channels to address inquiries regarding deadlines, pricing, deliveries, order statuses, certifications, technical details, claims, and payment delays;
  • Proactively monitor old stock and oversee inventory management;
  • Accurately process production proposals and orders based on specific client requests, utilizing multiple ERP systems (Ciclocom, VAX, SAP, AS400) and ensuring follow-up on client orders;
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical challenges in collaboration with the respective mill teams;
  • Manage and maintain Master Data effectively;
  • Analyze ordering trends within the client portfolio to optimize order intake, escalating any discrepancies to the Integrated Business Planning and Sales Teams.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English and Italian, both spoken and written (knowledge of Spanish, German, French, or Dutch is advantageous);
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
  • Strong proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Familiarity with any ERP systems (SAP, AS400, VAX, Ciclocom, etc.);
  • Capability to prioritize effectively, work under pressure, and make responsible decisions;
  • Demonstrated independence and a strong work ethic;
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication abilities.
