American Express International Card Services (ICS) stands as a leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions sector, continually evolving as a dynamic and expanding business.

Within our Commercial Organization, we seek a driven, self-sufficient, and seasoned Sales Acquisition Specialist tasked with expanding our clientele, particularly in the North East region.

The ideal candidate will oversee a pipeline of corporate prospects to attract new clients, exhibiting a strong hunting mentality, fostering relationships with senior decision-makers, and steering the sales strategy with potential clients. Responsibilities include securing new clients and propelling corporate sales growth, as well as crafting Sales and Marketing strategies for new signings and Charge Volume expansion in Travel & Entertainment (T&E) and B2B negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prospecting through cold outreach and networking to establish new connections within the financial and payments sectors.
  • Generate leads through partnerships to facilitate introductions to potential clients.
  • Employ a consultative sales approach to identify client needs.
  • Articulate our value proposition and close sales with effective negotiation skills.
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate sales agreements.
  • Develop a pipeline featuring multi-million dollar opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management using SalesForce.
  • Navigate multiple complex sales cycles.
  • Achieve required sales activities, including presentations, proposals, and quotas.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (credit, risk, legal, compliance, pricing) and manage complexities effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven sales expertise with three to five years of T&E sales experience in the North East region.
  • Structured sales methodology and capability to devise sales strategies in new sectors.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in building a sales pipeline and surpassing sales goals.
  • Experience in strategic and consultative selling.
  • Extensive cold calling and field activity experience across the territory.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong negotiation and decision-making abilities, and robust analytical skills.
  • High motivation levels and the ability to inspire others, along with self-management of the sales pipeline.
  • Proven capabilities in senior-level account management and negotiation.
  • Self-driven with the ability to influence and collaborate with others.
  • Proficiency in both Italian and English.
  • Familiarity with PC software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in a similar role within a solution/service-oriented organization.
