Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Milan, Italy. As a key team player, you will provide comprehensive technical support for Thermal Management, partnering with clients, consultants, and the Sales team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing strategic business relationships while working on projects, attending events, delivering training/webinars, and proactively engaging with clients;
- Reviewing RFQs and identifying customer requirements/specifications;
- Providing pre-sales technical support of product specifications;
- Standard product selection based on customer requirements;
- Designing new Thermal Management solutions where standard products do not fit;
- Defining feasibility and costs of solutions/products;
- Integration and coordination with internal departments and/or external suppliers;
- Requesting SFAs to Engineering linked to thermal management products and clients that you'll serve;
- Providing Sales with pre-sales technical support when building proposals, quotes, and tenders;
- Providing Sales with pre-sales technical support when attending technical meetings, aiming to become a reference point for both internal and external stakeholders;
- Creating and reviewing application-based documentation (drawings, specifications, electrical layout, presentations) enabling AE colleagues and Sales to secure the business;
- Providing product and application-based training to the Sales community to strengthen the know-how across Country Italy;
- Supporting WT activities and factory visits when needed;
- Supporting that any activity, task, and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A school background in engineering or equivalent education with proven field experience;
- 6+ years of professional experience within the Data Center industry or similar;
- Excellent know-how of Data Center High Density trends, applications, and related thermal management complexities;
- Excellent know-how of Uptime Institute Tier levels and related Thermal Management infrastructure design;
- Language skills: fluent English written and verbal required;
- Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation;
- High focus on customer needs;
- Experience in quoting/proposing/managing projects.
