ISC is seeking to appoint an experienced, well-qualified, and inspirational Head of Maths to lead and manage our secondary school’s Mathematics department. This role includes overseeing the teaching of Mathematics across IB MYP and IBDP, curriculum planning, and fostering a positive and effective team environment.

**About the school**:
This is an exciting time to join The International School of Como. In September 2024, new Executive Principal Philipa Smithson joined the school. With an expansion project underway, the school will grow over the coming years from 400 students to around 700, presenting several career development opportunities.

In September 2011, the International School of Como moved into its purpose-built campus in Fino Mornasco, 6km south of the beautiful Lake Como. Our modern and spacious campus fosters collaborative approaches to teaching and learning, with state-of-the-art science laboratories, a central library, studios for visual arts, drama, and music, and extensive sports facilities. **THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
**Requirements**:

- Appropriate degree and teaching certification.
- Demonstrated success in classroom leadership with experience in external exam preparation.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a teaching or leadership role within a Mathematics department.
- Experience working with the IB curriculum.
- Passion for education and student development.
- Willingness to lead in the ongoing development of the High School.
- Commitment to fostering a positive IB learning community.
- Commitment to IB standards and practices and to the IB Learner Profile.
- Superior communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

**Preferred**
- Experience in an international or multicultural school setting.
- Experience working with students who have English as an Additional Language.
