Worldline is looking for a **Legal Specialist** with experience in payment services, financial services and IT technology, to join the Group Legal and Contract Management Department Team.
This position will be full-time, based in Milano and will report to the Head of Legal Italy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide support in legal, compliance and corporate governance matters (Board of Directors Meetings and General Meetings) relating to the Italian entities within Worldline Group;
- ensure compliance with all applicable laws including data privacy and regulations (with particular focus on banking and payments laws and regulations);
- negotiate and manage commercial legal work (contracts for clients, suppliers, partners, etc.);
- support the business on the negotiations of legal aspects of M&A processes, strategic partnership, key commercial agreements and other corporate and business development initiatives;
- act as legal business partner to various departments; build strong relationships across the organisation; liaise with outside counsel;
- manage regulatory complaints processes (reclami) and enquiries from authorities affecting the Italian entities ;
- manage and foresee business risks and opportunities by regularly reviewing changes in the regulatory/legal environment;
- support the rest of the Worldline’s Group Legal Team, and senior management;
- provide proactive, timely and business-focused legal advice on payments services regulation;
- providing general legal assistance and performing legal tasks including legal research and analysis of key issues
**Job Requirements**:
- At least 4 years post-qualification experience in a Law Firms or as in-house counsel
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and matrixed organisation
- Expertise in payments, financial services or fintech, banking regulation
- Skilled at dealing with senior management and regulators
- Capacity to take ownership of matters, knowing when to take decisions and when to escalate
- Creative problem solver who remains calm under pressure and who can effectively prioritise
- Highly resourceful and collaborative team player
- Organised, with a keen attention for detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A talent for drafting legal documents in clear and plain English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: fluent English is a must, and other European languages may be useful
