Process Development Manager

**With over 60 years of history, **our Business Unit represents for the group the European hub in the supply of pumping systems for combustion engines and electric motors.

We are located in the Crema area and operate mainly in the field of Vacuum creation, Oil cooling and lubrication.

We supply the Western major automotive companies and grow as a mechatronics business organization.

At our headquarters, R&D, Production, Sales and all related staff work in synergy, totaling about 500 employees.

As a Process Development Manager of machining and assembly you will join the Technical Functions Department to coordinate and support the team on the journey toward the electrification of automotive products.

You will work to develop, improve and maintain VHIT’s manufacturing system. You will contribute to industrialize mechatronics pumps, test and select new technologies, define standards and improve existing manufacturing processes.

**Your focus will be on the following responsibilities**:

- Manage process development assembly and machining teams
- Develop and manage suppliers (assembly, testing & machining machinery)
- Industrialization of mechatronics oil pumps with strong collaboration with R&D and manufacturing team (DFMA, empirical tests, benchmarking )
- Development of manufacturing systems from product acquisition to SOP (concept definition, technical specifications definition, suppliers’ management, internal and customer release)
- Continuous improvement of existing processes by using Lean Manufacturing tools
- Introduction of innovative and digital solutions in operations area
- Collaboration with manufacturing and maintenance teams to maintain and improve manufacturing assets.

Moreover, you will be engaged in shaping the factory of the future. Your contribution to new manufacturing concepts and new digital projects (machine learning, data analysis, AI) will be a pillar for building a strong digital and mechatronics reality.
**Qualifications** Education**:Graduated in mechanical, automation, aeronautic engineering or equivalent.

**Experience & technical knowledge**:at least 5-7 years in manufacturing field (automotive will considered as a plus) in roles like project engineer/manager, industrial, manufacturing engineer, or equivalent.

In addition, experience in managing a team or suppliers within an assembly manufacturing environment will be preferred.

**Technical kills**: Knowledge of industrialization roadmaps, project management tools, problem-solving methods and DFMA, 5s and lean manufacturing.

**Software knowledge**:excellent knowledge of** **Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), knowledge of SAP and digital tools like PowerBi will be considered a plus.

**Language skills**:Fluent in both Italian and English.
