BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.
The HR Technology and Analytics Branch - HRMOI is responsible for on-going support to critical HR operational processes through the appropriate provision and application of information, processes and enabling technologies. It is also responsible for the developing of the HR Division Technology strategy and roadmap that will support integrated talent management processes, enable full visibility into our global workforce by deploying a technology solution that integrates people processes, data and intelligence from corporate and satellite systems and databases, and will provide workforce analytics and tools to support evidence-based decision making across people-related processes (in particular workforce planning, recruitment, reassignment and deployment to emergencies).
The Branch consists of three teams:
(1) HR Technology Deployment;
(2) HR Systems Administration and Support;
(3) HR Reporting & Analytics.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare corporate HR statistical reports for WFP management.
2. Analyse HR data and respond to quantitative information requests from HR colleagues, external bodies, donors, member states, and United Nations organisations.
3. Develop dashboards and complex reports in Workday.
4. Perform complex analysis on staffing and cross-functional data, using robust statistical methodologies and supporting technologies such as R and/or Tableau.
5. Query data from HR information systems and ensure accuracy.
6. Support the HCM project through the preparation of reports, presentations, and management decision-making documents (requiring strong written skills).
7. Create calculated fields for custom reports to ensure required report delivery.
8. Write reports that extract Workday data and manipulate data in other formats for various needs.

9. Conduct quality control of staffing data extracted from WFP corporate systems, including SAP (WINGSII), Business Warehouse (BW), PASport (Local Payroll), and Workday.
10. Perform any other duties as required.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
- Reporting and analytics delivered to customer in a timely and accurate manner.
- Statistical analysis is provided in support of projects.
- Data quality is monitored, and stakeholders are informed.
- Data assets and sources are updated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Dashboards developed and maintained to provide clear visibility of workforce analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University undergraduate or graduate with experience and training courses in one or more of the following disciplines: statistics and/or information technology or any other related fields.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Data Analyst;
Knowledge of HR data, time dependent data and workforce analytics is an asset.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools such as SAP BI/BO, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
Experience with statistical packages such as R, SAS, or SPSS.
Proven knowledge of HCM Workday and PRISM including reporting, dashboard development, and calculated fields.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Analytical mindset with strong business acumen.
Ability to transform complex statistical information into clear, concise, and actionable reports.
Problem-solving aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
Ability to deliver results within a highly complex organizational environment (diverse teams, matrix structures, evolving operational contexts, and hardship locations).
Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with colleagues from different backgrounds.
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP's working languages).
