JOB TITLE: SAP Senior Landscape and Service Manager
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Regular Consultancy (re-appointment)
UNIT/DIVISION: TECD
DUTY STATION (City, Country): HQ/Rome
DURATION:11 months

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Under the direct supervision of the Head of WINGS Services - TECD, the Consultant will be a key team member in the design, implementation, operation and optimization of the IT services and WINGS solutions to support WFP HQ and field offices worldwide. The SAP Senior Landscape and Service Manager will work on WINGS related Projects, taking care of the SAP System Landscape, making sure it is fit for purpose, while at the same time acting as a Service Manager for the oversight and supervision of the Application Maintenance team. The incumbent will also act as Project Manager and main Focal Point for SAP Upgrade Project.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will be responsible for the following specific tasks:
As a Service Manager:
* Oversee the SAP Application maintenance for WFP operated by an external company, concerning the following SAP modules: HR (PA, PY, PT, PBC) , FI/CO, FM, SP, Projects.
* Controlling the maintenance and activities performed by the external company.
* Setting the priorities between the different enhancements, fixes and problem solving addressed by WFP business analyst of the different SAP functional area.
* Coordinating the work plan between the different enhancements in the different SAP area.
* Supervising the work plan progress and alerting the different stake holders when a deviation on the plan occurs and putting in place corrective actions when needed.
* Measure performances and response time from the AM team, making sure that SLA are enforced and penalties applied if there is an SLA breach.
As a Landscape Manager:
* Managing WFP SAP landscape.
* Plan the future of the SAP Landscape in view of system upgrades or migration to solutions like S/4 HANA, BW/4 HANA, SuccessFactors, Workday or other cloud-based SaaS solutions, and provide expert advice to the ERP Roadmap Senior Advisor on current and future ERP-based market best practices and standards.
* Coordinating and scheduling environments/servers copy and creation, taking into account the need of stakeholders in different SAP areas.
* Proposing, evaluating and implementing new SAP technologies.
* Liaise with WFP's hosting company regarding the Servers maintenance.
* Guarantying a reliable SAP infrastructure

* Managing Infrastructure Demand for On premise and Cloud based requests, infrastructure planning, System Landscape and Design, System Performance and allied activities.
* Providing expert advice on Cloud vs On premise solutions related to SAP software.
As SAP Upgrade Project Manager:
* Coordinate staff, consultants and contractors assigned to project activities towards the achievement of the objectives indicated in the business plans. Coordinate with supervisors/managers of the project team members to ensure respect of the agreed objectives.
* Review and certify the quality of the deliverables under the responsibility of TEC (e.g. specification documents, test strategy and documentation).
* Ensure that the technical work of the teams complies with the guidelines and procedures established by TEC.
* Discuss and support the resolution of issues and questions raised by the technical and functional teams of the project.
* Communicate clearly and manage stakeholders' expectations about the project's risks, quality, timeline and costs, keeping them informed on the progress of TEC activities, challenges and achievements.
* Report periodically the progress of the project technical tasks to Senior TEC Management, informing them on IT issues requiring attention and deciding how to best implement their decisions.
* Update the status of the SAP Upgrade Project using the TECD PPM Tool, including Tasks, Milestones, RAG, Risks and Issues.
* Other duties as required.
As SSP and next-gen ERP Roadmap Focal Point:
* Coordinate staff, consultants and contractors assigned to project activities towards the achievement of the objectives indicated in the business plans. Coordinate with supervisors/managers of the project team members to ensure respect of the agreed objectives.
* Review and certify the quality of the deliverables under the responsibility of TEC (e.g. specification documents, test strategy, migration strategy and documentation).
* Ensure that the technical work of the teams complies with the guidelines and procedures established by TEC (e.g. SDLC, Scrum, test methodology and Architectural Board endorsement).
* Discuss and support the resolution of issues and questions raised by the technical and functional teams of the project.
* Other duties as required.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

•System Landscape model definition, including but not limited to SAP specific solutions;

•Service Management status update and documentation on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

•All projects assigned to the incumbent should be well documented, providing an overview of all projects under their responsibility, including their milestones, timelines, budget, risks and issues using the TECD PPM Tool Daptiv. Projects closed during the contract period should have supporting documentation, i.e. signed project closure report and lessons learned document.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent hands-on experience (10+ years)

Experience:
Minimum 12 years of professional experience as SAP Landscape Manager and 7 years as SAP Service Manager, in an International Organisation with a proven record of management and delivery of the full cycle of projects, ideally IT-related projects.
Knowledge & Skills:
SAP Project Management and Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership.
Sound Infrastructure /Systems related knowledge in areas such as Hardware installations and Setups, System sizing, System Architecture, System Integration, Upgrades of Databases and OS, RFCs, System Copies Transport management, Load balancing and work processes, application servers, system security.
Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology.
Daptiv PPM Software in-depth knowledge.
Worked with SAP System and Software Release Management.
In-depth knowledge of SAP Solution Manager 7.2
Excellent Communication skill.
Good Training skill.
Good Testing skill.
Coordination with stakeholders during the project phases on Systems and infrastructure related topics.
Analysis and attention to Details.
Financial Management with Forecasting, Budgeting.
Preferred Skills
ITIL, esp. Incident, Problem and Change Management.
Languages:
Fluency (level C) in English Language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP's working language, Portuguese is a desirable. Proficiency in Italian is also an asset
