The Parallels Senior Sales Engineer (Sr SE) provides expertise on the Parallels products with a focus on Parallels Remote Application Server, Parallels Secure Workspace and the new launched products Parallels DaaS and Parallels Browser Isolation during the pre-sales phase of projects and as a result is a key contributor in the sales processes for getting new customers and partners onboarded.

The Sr SE has an in-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, security, virtualization and cloud technologies. He/She will collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, conduct product demonstrations, assist the customer/partner in a Proof of Concept setup and articulate the value proposition of Parallels solutions. As the market is changing fast the Sr SE is also someone that can fast learn new technologies and understand what the benefits are of these new technologies. 

Beyond technical expertise, the Sr SE stands out as an good communicator who thrives on collaborative efforts with customers and partners. Possessing a sense of ownership and trustworthiness, they adeptly empathize with customers, translating their needs into tailored solutions offered by Parallels.

The ideal candidate not only possesses the technical skill required for the role but is also enthusiastic about conducting occasional (classroom) training sessions for partners and customers. Additionally, a willingness to travel to (marketing) events to provide on-booth or on-stage support to the sales & marketing colleagues.

This position is looking for someone located in the European Union or United Kingdom and can cover customers/partners mainly in Europe & Middle east. English speaking is mandatory, other languages is a strong plus. 

For this specific positions the main focus will be on the funnel and partners in the Middle east so Arabic is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

Perform detailed demonstrations of Parallels products.Provide in depth technical assistance to potential customers.Take ownership of the Proof of Concepts and make sure they are finished in time and meeting the customers/partners requirements. Actively participate in the design, implementation, and support of Parallels products.Provide guidance, recommendations, and expert advice on technical issues.Maintain an advanced understanding of all Parallels and related competitors’ products.Develop project concepts and project proposals to solve customer needs and requests.Work with Account Managers, Sales Management and Channel Partners to effectively schedule the use of technical resources to support selling efforts.Coordinate all activities related to technical sales support for potential customers and existing accounts.Plan and conduct a series of Technical Training sessions and Webinars, both online and at Channel Partners and Customers.Mentor and assist in training Sales Engineers, new hires and the sales team as required.


Required Skills, Technical and Non-Technical:

At least 3 (5+ for senior), preferable more, years of relevant experience in Sales Engineering for a product operating in the same domains as Parallels: application/desktop virtualization, security, IT infrastructure.Hands on experience in at least 1, preferable more, of these technologies: Parallels RAS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMWare Horizon, Microsoft RDS or Azure Virtual Desktop.Deep knowledge and experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services - TS/ RDSH/ Application/Desktop and VDI Publishing.Working knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure solutions relating to Systems, Network and SecurityExperience in cloud computing platforms mainly in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.Ability to perform product demonstrations and presentations to technical and executive audiences.Strong writing skills with ability to create technical documentation.Strong presentation, communication, and training skills.


Required:

The right attitude to compete with Citrix, VMware and other competitors in the marketAt least 3 (5+ for senior) years’ experience in Sales Engineering or as an IT Engineer role.At least 3 (5+ for senior) years’ experience in implementing and/or administering applications and desktops virtualization systems. At least 3 (5+ for senior) years’ experience in cloud-based computing.Readiness to travel annually.Fluent in written and verbal business level English is a must. French, Italian or Spanish is a secondary must
