Key Responsibilities

The Data & Intelligence Business Line at NTT DATA is seeking a Lead Data Architect specializing in AWS.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee key client engagements
  • Manage relationships with AWS
  • Lead the AWS Center of Excellence
  • Direct Data & Analytics projects utilizing AWS
  • Assist in recruitment efforts
  • Contribute to the Value Proposition
  • Facilitate the development of skills and capabilities, including:
    • Designing data platforms on AWS utilizing services such as Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3
    • Creating operational architectures and conducting performance engineering for large-scale data lakes in production
    • Applying the Well-Architected Framework to solution design and implementation
    • Designing and implementing data ingestion solutions on AWS using native services (e.g., GLUE, Lambda) or data management technologies (e.g., Talend, Informatica)
    • Participating in client design workshops to provide insights and recommendations for solution development
    • Mentoring engineers in coding best practices and problem-solving techniques

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics, preferably within consulting environments
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team of BI/data analysts at senior levels
  • Proficient in AWS cloud-native environments
  • Knowledge of Big Data architectures, both cloud-based and on-premise
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and networking
  • Familiarity with AWS Collection Services: Kinesis, Kafka, Database Migration Service
  • Expertise in AWS Storage Services: S3, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB
  • Proficient in AWS Compute Services: EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS
  • Experience in developing proofs-of-concept to meet specific business requirements using appropriate techniques and technologies
  • Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments
  • Skilled in monitoring distributed infrastructures using AWS tools or open-source alternatives such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Kanban
  • Strong data manipulation and BI tool skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with experience engaging with top management
  • Proactive in taking initiatives, with exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong presence for managing cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
