Job Description

NTT DATA, a leading global IT services company, is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our team.

We are a company that values innovation, collaboration, and customer satisfaction. Our team of experts works closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions that meet their unique needs.

As an AWS Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing data platforms on AWS, working closely with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data acquisition, transformation, and improvement processes to load data into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.
  • Understand the current application infrastructure and suggest changes to improve its efficiency and scalability.
  • Define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Migrate our infrastructure to a highly available and scalable one with zero downtime.
  • Set up a monitoring stack using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
  • Define service capacity planning strategies and implement the application's CI/CD pipeline using the AWS CI/CD stack.
  • Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or similar.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a cloud native environment, preferably on AWS.
  • Experience with Big Data Architectures, cloud, and on-premise environments.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, with a plus for using ECS/EKS.
  • Experience with serverless approaches using AWS Lambda.
  • Strong notions of security best practices, including IAM Roles, KMS, etc.
  • AWS infrastructure and networking experience.
  • Experience in migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments.
  • Experience in monitoring distributed infrastructure using AWS tools or open-source ones like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
  • Proven experience in Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with Agile Methodology and Kanban.
  • AWS Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified Developer.

Location

Our team is located in various cities across Italy, including Bari, Bologna, Cosenza, Milano, Napoli, Roma, Salerno, and Torino.
