Job Summary:

The Senior Fashion Designer will lead the design team in creating innovative and stylish womenswear denim and sportswear collections. This role requires a strong understanding of fashion trends, construction, and technical drawing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop design concepts that align with the company's brand values and seasonal briefs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, materials, sourcing, and merchandising to ensure designs meet quality, cost, and aesthetic needs.
  • Lead designers in specific development of design ideas and deliver seasonal designs under the leadership of the VP Womenswear Design.
  • Work with production and atelier teams to prepare clear drawings and ensure efficient use of time.
  • Communicate and drive functional and aesthetic intent with technical/development partners.
  • Develop line plans and design briefs in collaboration with product management and merchandising.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of design experience in womenswear fashion design with an excellent portfolio that covers multiple product types.
  • Strong understanding of construction and build with technical drawing skills.
  • Awareness of what is trending in fashion and ability to effectively communicate to the teams.
  • Ability to translate trends into a commercial collection with a contemporary handwriting.
  • Excellent computer skills (Illustrator/Photoshop) & hand-drawn skills.
  • Understanding/experience in 3D technology is an asset.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and relationship skills.
  • Management and coordination skills.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, and a mindset to inspire.
  • Curious mindset.
  • Organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to travel.
