About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Urban Energy and Cities Decarbonisation activities in Arup Italy. As an Urban Energy Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating the Urban Energy Hub, a centre of integration and excellence for different competencies and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of urban energy and cities decarbonisation strategies and solutions.
  • Coordinate with business leaders to drive market business development activities in Arup Italy.
  • Support the climate and sustainability portfolio activities in Italy, with a focus on climate services for external clients.
  • Liaise with key market players to identify and sense market opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain plans for strategic clients and support the preparation of high-quality proposals.
  • Generate impact in the market by being an expert voice and participating in sector-specific events.
  • Expand capacity and firm in European and national urban energy and carbon policy development, strategies, and action plans.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Expert use of industry guidance and techniques, with a working understanding of models and analytical approaches used in energy, utilities, and infrastructure business cases.
  • Experience in quantitative policy analysis and leading economic models.
  • Ability to work with short lead-in times and strict project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and line management experience.
  • Highly numerate and comfortable with critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical and presentation tools, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in both English and Italian language.
