**Job Summary**
Madison-Oneida BOCES is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a Behavior Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting students with challenging behaviors in our middle level programs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the development of treatment plans and identify and implement behavioral rules and consequences.
- Monitor, analyze, and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other mental health staff to develop, implement, and monitor individual student academic and behavioral progress and goals.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to help students practice coping skills, achieve academic success, and transition back to their home school.
- Evaluate crisis situations and escalated behaviors, and provide appropriate interventions and support.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, sociology, human services, teaching, or a related field.
- Certification as a school psychologist, school counselor, social worker, or leadership background, and a minimum of two years' experience supporting K-12 age students with challenging behaviors.
- Experience with FBA/BIP assessment, RtI behavior process, consultation, effective communication skills with teachers, administrators, and school districts.
- CPI certified or eligible for certification.
