We are currently seeking a driven and passionate Method Engineer for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • During Specification and Preliminary Design Phases:
    • Collaborate with the Process Engineer or PIM to enhance product manufacturability and meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives.
    • Engage in product design reviews as necessary.
    • Estimate Method Time for processes.
  • During Detailed Design Phase and Pre-Serial Go:
    • Contribute to Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA).
    • Assist in the validation of prototypes when applicable.
    • Request and specify tooling as required.
    • Depending on the area of expertise, execute ERP routings, Work Instructions, Inspection Instructions, and CNC programming while ensuring optimal EHS and ergonomic conditions.
    • Organize task sequencing for workstations.
    • Validate product design and industrialization through First Article Review (FAR) and First Article Inspection (FAI).
    • Calculate accurate Method Time.
  • Post-Serial Go:
    • Implement retrofits following engineering changes, including routings, Work Instructions, and tooling adjustments.
    • Support production teams in achieving manufacturing QCD targets.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., SWIP).
    • Contribute to industrial feedback on manufacturing processes.

Educational Background:

  • Technical education in electrical, mechanical, or welding disciplines.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing, ideally within the railway sector.
  • Technical expertise in Manufacturing Engineering, including the creation of manufacturing work instructions and line balancing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) for managing Bill of Materials, routings, and configuration tracking.
  • Understanding of Quality, EHS standards, and Ergonomics.
  • Knowledge of common industry tools, Process FMEA, and QRQC.
  • Experience in time analysis methodologies (MTM, MEK, UAS).
