About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Harness Design Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our Electrical Design Department, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical harnesses for our transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical harnesses for our transportation systems, ensuring compliance with design rules, product feasibility, and industry norms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical designers, manufacturing engineers, and S&A designers, to ensure seamless integration of harnesses into our products.
  • Develop and maintain detailed electrical harness design deliverables, including BoM kits, formboards, wiring lists, and instructions sheets.
  • Manage and pilot harness design deliverables reviews, Electrical Process reviews, and participate in Electrical Process DRs.
  • Ensure deliverables updates in case of modifications, including harness suppliers, internal or third-party manufacturing.
  • Address FQRs, solve identified issues, and manage gaps to realize retrofitting of harnesses.
  • Ensure terminal ends and cabling expertise of products/projects.
  • Contribute to the improvement of electrical harness design processes and tools, including standard métier updates, informatic tools optimization, and electrical domain improvement.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrotechnical, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
  • Professional experience as an Engineer with Electrotechnical or Electromechanical skills (beginner/junior; < 3 years).
  • Experience with DMA/Catia Electrical, Catia sheet metal, and cabling/wiring list software.
  • Knowledge of SEE ONE, GLC, ELSA, and/or ERP (type SAP/GSI) is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
