Position Overview: The Project Procurement Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the procurement activities associated with projects, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations concerning cost, timeline, and quality of supplies, all while following the directives of the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Proposal Manager, Project Manager, Control Coordinator, Construction Manager, and Project Engineer Manager to develop and implement the Project Execution Plan, ensuring its effective application throughout the project lifecycle to achieve set objectives.
  • Assist in formulating the Project Vendor List in alignment with project specifications.
  • Coordinate resources effectively to ensure activities are executed within the allocated man-hours budget.
  • Establish and maintain procurement procedures, guidelines, and standards in collaboration with Procurement Assistants.
  • Oversee procurement processes from the issuance of material requisitions to the delivery of materials on-site, ensuring vendor support during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Monitor compliance of procurement activities with the project schedule and budget constraints.
  • Facilitate overall project procurement coordination among various operational centers, including group companies, subcontractors, partners, and site teams.
  • Manage project procurement reporting to the Project Management Team and the Client.
  • Support the Purchasing Department in enforcing liquidated damages against vendors and manage back-charges in collaboration with the Purchasing and Administration departments.
  • Coordinate with the Administration department regarding the expiration of technical and performance warranties.

Additional Duties:

  • Provide constructive feedback to the department head regarding challenges encountered with standard methods and work instructions to enhance departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Foster the professional development of assigned project procurement assistants in line with departmental and company objectives, while sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues across the Maire Tecnimont Group.

Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about advancements in the procurement discipline to ensure best practices are applied.
