Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation, Controls Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for the entire Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) work packages for our Waste-to-X project. You will lead the assigned engineering team, prepare engineering documentation, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor progress. You will also support the Commissioning & Erection team and travel approximately 10% of the time to Zurich and on-site locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the EIC work packages for our Waste-to-X project, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Functionally lead the assigned engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, including technical specifications, design drawings, and installation manuals.
- Negotiate and agree on technical requirements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor and control progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
- Support the Commissioning & Erection team, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time to Zurich and on-site locations, as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer on large plants, with a strong background in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls.
- Proven project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with remote teams, including those in Switzerland and Slovakia.
- Autonomous, proactive, self-motivated, and effective communicator.
- Fluency in both Italian and English.
