Job Summary

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute account plans to drive sales growth and market share expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to explore innovations and new concepts related to customers' products and ongoing projects.
  • Monitor market development in terms of competitors, products, and trends.
  • Partner with the operations team to ensure customer satisfaction in terms of service, quality, and supply.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Italian market and customer ecosystem.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and maximize potential advantage to IFF while delivering optimal solutions to customers.
  • Ensure customer supply chain requirements, processes, and KPIs are well communicated to IFF Operations.
  • Lead projects through effective communication and collaboration with key external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure objectives are aligned to the business and personal development plans are in place.
  • Responsible for setting clear commercial targets and achieving new wins and market share growth aligned with account strategic plans.
  • Ensure accurate monthly sales forecast to allow for effective operations planning and financial analysis.
  • Conduct retrospective reviews on projects wins and losses.
  • Influence customer brief definition to IFF's advantage.
  • Effectively promote the most appropriate IFF product solutions and portfolio aligned with the brief.
  • Update Project management system and issue adoption report in a timely manner.
  • Defend and grow accounts while actively scouting for new customers and transforming leads into profitable business opportunities.
  • Implement price increase in line with country/region strategy.

Your Requirements:

Experience:

  • Approximately 5-10 years of experience in sales of ingredients for the food industry, ideally with experience and knowledge of the Italian bakery market and main market players.
  • Strong track record at a similar level with a passion to succeed in commercial.

Your Training / Certifications:

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred: Concentration in Food Engineering Business, Chemistry, or Biology Marketing.

Your Skills / Background:

  • Fluent business English with a global mindset and ability to work with different cultures.
  • Customer-centric with B2B management experience.
  • Analytical with the ability to deal with financial concepts and processes.
  • Strong interests in product development, consumers, and market understanding.
  • Strong communication, presentation, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and ecommerce environment.
