About the Role

Deliveroo is seeking a skilled Grocery Operations Manager to join our Italy Commercial team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of our delivery operations associated with all of our grocery partners.

You will be responsible for building the bridge between Operations strategy and commercial teams to improve our service. This will involve working independently to diagnose, resolve, and report on areas of concern, as well as communicating proficiently with multiple stakeholders.

As a Grocery Operations Manager, you will be an executor and a leader, an authority on commercial operations, and a key part of the Italian Grocery team. You will often be the Operations voice in the room during meetings with key partners and your ability to influence and deliver a clear message will be key.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the interests of customers, partners, and riders in every decision you take.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Deliveroo operations, especially grocery players operations.
  • Proactively find areas for improvement, be innovative in seeking the best solution, and execute in a timely and considered manner.
  • Strengthen the ways of working and relationships between Commercial, Ops, and Care teams.
  • Be the voice of Italy for Grocery ops product development and integrations.
  • Be accountable for Grocery P&L impact.

What We're Looking For

  • 3 to 5 years of Project management/Operations experience in managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a structured and logical way.
  • Influencer - able to rally a team behind an idea and get stakeholders (both internal and external) to buy in to your ideas.
  • Analytical - Able to identify the relevant information required to make a decision and present that information in a concise, logical manner.
  • Communication - Able to develop good working relationships with key stakeholders, influence, and attain the requisite buy in.
  • Inquisitive - Curious and happy to question the status-quo.
  • Organized - Always deliver the right work at the right time.
  • Track record of 'getting it done' - Operational knowledge of the business and how it works today. Know when you have enough insight to make a call and take rapid high-quality decisions.
