Job Title: Director, Administrative Services Division

International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Administrative Services Division to lead its global operational services. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and managing the division, serving on IFAD's and Corporate Services Department's management team, and representing IFAD in various networks and committees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and promote a strategic vision that translates IFAD's corporate and departmental mandates, strategies, goals, and objectives into a divisional programme of work.
  • Provide leadership in the development and interpretation of major policies, regulations, and rules that govern the work of a division.
  • Manage and supervise the delivery of a division's programme of work within an allocated budget.
  • Represent IFAD in official United Nations committees and networks, and in international financial institutions, multilateral and bilateral meetings, symposia, fora, and Global conferences.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships both within and outside of IFAD.
Requirements:
  • Advanced university degree from an accredited institution in a technically relevant area.
  • At least twelve (12) years of progressively responsible and relevant professional experience in technically related areas of operations.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a national or international organization providing global support.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability at leading and managing multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in main enterprise resource management and related ERP systems and applications relevant to the field of specialization.
Language:

English (Excellent)

Skills:
  • Topical expertise in administration, advocacy, risk management, stakeholder management, strategy implementation, planning, policy dialogue, change management, confidentiality and discretion, corporate approach, leadership, political acumen, specialized communication skills, and evidence-based policy.
Working Relationships:

The Director, Administrative Services Division will work closely with the Associate Vice-President, Corporate Services Department, and other divisions to ensure effective coordination of programme planning and activities.

Other Information:

IFAD staff members are international civil servants subject to the authority of the President of IFAD. In accordance with IFAD's Human Resources Policy, the President can decide to assign them to any of the activities of the Fund.
