About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team at AWS in Italy. As a key member of our Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) team, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining the technological infrastructure of our data centers.

In this role, you will work on complex engineering problems in mechanical and electrical systems, including generators, UPS, electrical distribution panels, air conditioning, chillers, fire detection and suppression systems, and building management systems (BMS). You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and security in all aspects of operational procedure and for driving continuous improvement efforts to deliver performance against agreed metrics.

You will collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers. Your strong technical skills, combined with your ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business, will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
· Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
· Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events
· Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
· Manage external vendors
