About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Technician to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, providing technical support and maintenance to our facilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  2. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements and standard operating procedures.
  4. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and external partners as needed.
  5. Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage and respond to critical issues in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with a focus on data center operations.
  2. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  3. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between data center sites.
