About the Role

Alstom is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Quality Technician to join our team at our Savigliano site in Italy. As an Industrial Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing tests on car bodyshell components and bogies using advanced techniques such as UT Phased Array TFM, MT, VT, and PT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tests on car bodyshell components and bogies using advanced non-destructive testing techniques.
  • Support and coach non-destructive testing technicians to improve their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with special process and industrialization department experts to develop and implement effective quality control methodologies.
  • Work with Level 3 experts to optimize control techniques and define formalized non-destructive test procedures.
  • Analyze statistical data to support industrial quality control and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead the ZERO DEFECT PROGRAM, addressing root causes of welding defects.
  • Manage non-destructive testing patent expirations and ensure compliance with third-party assessors.
  • Plan and manage workstation audits, ensuring follow-up and action plan implementation.

Performance Metrics

  • Ensure serial quality control and spot control are performed in compliance with scheduled plans.
  • Reduce welding defect rates within quarterly periods and align with target goals.
  • Maintain 100% qualification on non-destructive testing population.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Extend qualification to railways maintenance (ANSFISA guidelines) on all non-destructive testing methodologies.
  • Fluently communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Develop expertise in Excel VBA and Macro.
