About the Role

Alstom is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Quality Specialist to join our team in Italy. As an Industrial Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of our rail transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on car bodyshell components and bogies using advanced techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT) and phased array techniques.
  • Support and coach NDT technicians to improve their skills and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with special process and industrialization experts to develop and implement effective quality control methodologies.
  • Work with Level 3 experts to optimize NDT techniques and develop formalized test procedures.
  • Analyze statistical data to identify trends and areas for improvement in quality control and problem-solving.
  • Lead the ZERO DEFECT PROGRAM, identifying and addressing root causes of welding defects.
  • Manage the NDT patent expiration process for the NDT team and ensure compliance with third-party assessors.
  • Plan and conduct workstation audits, ensuring follow-up and management of action plans.

Performance Metrics

  • Ensure serial quality control and spot control are performed in accordance with scheduled plans.
  • Reduce welding defect rates within the quarterly period and meet target goals.
  • Maintain 100% qualification on NDT population.

Additional Requirements

  • Extend qualification to railways maintenance (ANSFISA guidelines) on all NDT methodologies.
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Proficiency in Excel VBA and Macro.
