About the Role

Alstom is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Quality Specialist to join our team at our Savigliano site in Italy. As an Industrial Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of our rail transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on car bodyshell components and bogies using advanced techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT) and phased array techniques.
  • Support and coach NDT technicians to improve their skills and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with special process and industrialization experts to develop and implement quality control procedures.
  • Work with Level 3 experts to optimize NDT techniques and develop new procedures.
  • Analyze statistical data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead the ZERO DEFECT PROGRAM, identifying and addressing root causes of welding defects.
  • Manage NDT patent expirations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct workstation audits and implement action plans to improve quality.

Performance Metrics

  • Ensure serial quality control and spot control are performed in accordance with scheduled plans.
  • Reduce welding defect rates within quarterly periods and meet target goals.
  • Maintain 100% qualification of NDT personnel.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Extend qualification to railways maintenance (ANSFISA guidelines) for all NDT methodologies.
  • Fluently communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Develop expertise in Excel VBA and Macro.
