About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Project Director to join our Clinical Delivery Services Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic leadership and management in the direction and execution of operations and resourcing for the business in a complex cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large, complex, cross-functional initiatives and teams to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Assist Executive Management in developing business roadmaps to support the organizational future state and alignment to department and company goals.
  • Act as a Champion for organizational changes and initiatives to support company objectives.
  • Provoke critical thinking and drive innovation in the team related to execution of delivery, budget, quality, and prioritization.
  • Assist in the development of group AOP - ensuring appropriate business approvals are obtained for projects.
Requirements
  • Extensive senior-level Project Management experience in a complex international organization, delivering change programmes.
  • A background in CRO, pharma, or life science industry, or business consultancy (working with similar clients) strongly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of the key principles of cross-functional project management (Time, Quality, Cost).
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiar with formal change management processes and methods (Prosci or similar approach).
  • Skilled in process improvement and strategic development, especially as it applies to clinical trials, clinical development, and project management.
  • Outstanding analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills, including complex evaluations of intangible variables.
  • Strong financial savvy with in-depth knowledge and practical application of budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
  • Accomplished executive presence, consultation, and presentation skills.
  • Expert negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence others and get results.
  • Consistent track record driving corporate strategies that capture, engage, and retain repeat customers.
  • Advanced level of English.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Ireland is €136,500.00–€204, This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
