We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced F&B Operations Director to join our team at Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Food and Beverage operations, ensuring that they meet and exceed guest expectations and provide a return on investment to our owners.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience as an F&B Director in a 5-star hotel, with excellent knowledge of Italian, English, and German. They will be proficient in MS Office and have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving profitability, and enhancing colleague and guest engagement.

As F&B Operations Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth and improve profitability
  • Overseeing the management of multiple disciplines within the Food and Beverage department
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the department are aligned with the hotel's objectives and company goals
  • Providing leadership and guidance to direct reports, including setting SMART goals and expectations
  • Identifying and communicating potential new revenue opportunities to the hotel department heads
  • Managing the MICE business from offer to confirmation and following all events in-house
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external guests
  • Proactively developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external key guests
  • Ensuring that all guest comments, company survey results, and other data are reviewed and used to identify areas for improvement
  • Observing behaviors and providing timely feedback to individuals and/or leaders to ensure continuous improvement of service performance
  • Fostering an environment of teamwork where colleagues can communicate openly
  • Celebrating successes and recognizing the contribution of team members
  • Creating Personal Development Plans and developing team members based on their individual strengths, development needs, and career aspirations
  • Developing, recommending, implementing, and managing the Food and Beverage Department annual budget, business/marketing plan, forecasts, and manning guide in line with hotel objectives
  • Assigning accountability to team members, driving, and monitoring the execution of the department strategic plan to ensure team delivers impressive results
  • Working with support department heads to ensure Food and Beverage strategies are aligned with the hotel and company goals
  • Making key decisions to keep the operations running smoothly, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines, pressure, and reduced headcount
