The Key Account Manager is a critical role within our Sales team based out of Italy.
REPORT TO
Commercial Director, Europe Poultry and Swine.
JOB DESCRIPTION
With Phibro's recent acquisition of Zoetis' MFA product line, and several new product launches planned for the coming year, we are expanding our commercial teams in Western Europe. The KAM Poultry will serve as the primary point of contact for customers requiring information and guidance about Phibro's portfolio, focusing on creating sustainable business growth in the associated territory/customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute demand generation strategies in the assigned territory.
- Support the achievement of budgeted sales and gross margin for Phibro products in the assigned territory.
- Provide technical support to customers, key influencers, and end users to ensure proper use of products.
- Collaborate with local distributors to drive demand creation, technical service, training, and sales support.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive activity in the assigned area and provide insights to the Species Business Manager.
- Attend customer events and engage with relevant Key Opinion Leaders.
- Strengthen relationships by adhering to strategic account management principles and behaviors.
- Communicate Phibro's pricing policy and other relevant business information to customers.
- Forecast customer demand to anticipate supply requirements and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Comply with Phibro's policies and lead with a high level of integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
- Frequent travel required within the assigned territory and occasional international travel up to 25%.
REQUIREMENTS
A Degree in Veterinary medicine, Nutritional or other relevant animal science degree is required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years of experience in animal health and established poultry network. Commercial acumen with technical orientation (poultry field technical experience preferred). Ability to self-manage daily activities and responsibilities. Teamwork mindset to connect with European and global colleagues. Conversational English level.
