Guest Service Representative

Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of this position is to warmly welcome and assist each patron at the front counter or greet them at the entrance with a friendly demeanor. This role involves seating guests and presenting menus in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process takeout orders from customers

· Accurately handle dining or takeout transactions

· Verify takeout orders for correctness before handing them to customers

· Utilize a computer system to input orders

· Engage with customers at the front counter to ensure a delightful dining experience

· Maintain a neat and clean uniform while on duty

· Clean the front counter and/or host area, along with other assigned spaces

· Greet customers warmly as they enter the establishment.

· Seat guests and provide them with menus

· Manage the waiting list when necessary

· Monitor the floor plan board by observing tables to track their cleanliness and occupancy status

· Collaborate with Team Members across the location daily, including Store Management and both Front and Back of the House staff

· Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Ability to communicate effectively with Management, Team Members, and Guests

· Basic math skills

· Competence in making change and processing various payment methods

· Ability to visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables

· Capability to stand for extended periods

· Skill in multitasking

· Willingness to work flexible shift schedules

· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly

· Capability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

· Team Members may be exposed to wet, humid, hot, and noisy conditions while performing their duties.

· Potential hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns.

· Non-slip footwear is mandatory for all Team Members in the establishment.

· Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Experience:

Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
