Job Title: Area Sales Engineer

Job Summary:

Cavotec is a leading cleantech company that designs and delivers connection and electrification solutions to enable the decarbonization of ports and industrial applications. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Engineer to join our team in South Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate business leads to new and existing customers through cold calling, site visits, and attendance at industry-related events.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to identify business opportunities and close sales.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers to ensure successful product implementation and maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Sales Support/System Sales Managers to ensure alignment with sales strategies and goals.
  • Meet assigned profitable sales targets and contribute to the growth of the business.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline tracked on the CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Support the Regional Sales Director in developing a business plan covering order intake, contribution margin, and revenue targets for the assigned area.

Requirements:

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience with industrial equipment.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or similar commercial experience.
  • Proven experience or training to understand value solution selling.
  • Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Technical degree desired, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in industrial products or service selling (ports & maritime market knowledge a plus).
  • Good interpersonal skills and commercially savvy.
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with key technical or mid-management decision makers.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Spanish is a requirement for success in the role.
